Duragard® Diamond Plate® SAE 15W-40 CI-4 Plus Synthetic Blend Engine Oil is formulated with select Hydro cracked clear base oils and Very High Viscosity Index (VHVI) Synthetic Base Fluids that provide superior low temperature fluidity and high temperature film strength that cannot be achieved using conventional mineral base oils. This oil uses a technically advanced low ash additive technology that balances a combination of metallic detergents, ashless dispersants, multi-purpose inhibitors, and de-foamers that provide superior start up and maximum fuel economy in electronic fuel injected diesels.
Duragard® Diamond Plate® SAE 15W-40 CI-4 Plus Synthetic Blend Engine Oil is specifically engineered for use in mixed fleets, gasoline and diesel. This product has proprietary industry leading detergency and soot dispersancy chemistry with an emission system compatible low sulphated ash level. The high (12) TBN to low ash ratio make this an outstanding lubricant for modern low emission diesels, and also older diesels, that required a low ash industry leading clean oil.
Duragard® Diamond Plate® SAE 15W-40 CI-4 Plus Synthetic Blend Engine Oil is noted for its high viscosity index resulting in higher oil pressure, and its superior high temperature volatility characteristics result in less oil consumption. Stay-in-grade shear stability enables the oil to maintain viscosity in severe high-temperature and heavy load operations. The direct benefit is less engine deposits and extended engine and turbocharger life. This synthetic blended SAE 15W-40 has a cold pour point superior to most competitive SAE 10W-30 conventional mineral based oils.
